PERSONALIZED BIRTH PLATE

A special keepsake gift with the child's name and date of birth. You may also include the time, weight and length at birth if you wish. This may be a baby birth plate or a child's birthday gift. The plate size is 8 - 8 1/2" in diameter made with stoneware clay.

The design is a stylized "tree of life", a traditional motif of three flowers or parts commonly used by the Pennsylvania German potters. The birth plates are created by Tonya Yoder, Potter. If there is another design or image you would like to suggest for your plate, please contact me and I may be able to create a design for you. Feel free to submit any questions you may have.

The multi-colored plate is hand painted and lettered with non-toxic glazes directly onto the stoneware glaze. The toasty color of the unglazed goldbar clay provides a warm hue to the design.
