To the rear of the property where I grew up as a boy there stands a massive oak tree -- to this day. I have always admired the power and strength of the oak tree. Since a potter friend of mine has a name similar to mine I named this pottery "Oakleaf Pottery" with that particular oak tree in mind. In addition, the Prophet Isaiah called the redeemed of the Lord "oaks of righteousness." I like to think the work of my hands may offer a gift that is enjoyed by others similar to the oak tree whose leaves shade and bless those around it. The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
